You can rest assured that your Advent lodge meets or exceeds the requirements of BS.3632, the standard for residential park homes. Furthermore, insulation materials used during manufacture are of high quality and modern design giving exceptional performance benefits which not only meet the 'U' values, as outlined in the British Standards, but ensures that the lodge is suitable for all year round habitation. Alternatively, you can have your lodge constructed to the standards of BS.EN.1647 where required.

At Advent, we ensure that every aspect of your lodge living meets our high standards of specification and manufacture which often exceed the minimum requirements of the British Standards. We also manufacture using green materials from sustainable sources wherever possible.

Built on a solid structure

The chassis of your lodge is pre-fabricated from carbon steel sections that have been painted with a protective coating and constructed on siting wheels, with removable tow bars and adjustable jack stands. This not only ensures that your lodge can be easily manoeuvred into position and accurately levelled, but also maintains a rigid, long-lasting platform for your lodge.

Robust, flooring

You also benefit from a stable, floor as a result of the secure, insulated, high density, tongue and groove, flooring grade chipboard. The floor deck is attached to floor joists manufactured entirely from steel channels welded to the chassis, which gives excellent performance in strength, rigidity, and loading.

High quality insulated external walls with soundproofing

The external walls of your Advent lodge keep you warm and cosseted thanks to strong half-lapped timber construction, robust cladding and high performance, frame batt insulation. They are constructed from frameworks of 71x45mm timbers with uprights at maximum 600mm centres, clad with 9mm exterior grade plywood, and lined under the cladding externally with a breather paper. What's more, for the exterior finish you can choose between standard red wood, 'Canexel' low maintenance cladding, cedar sidings or a high performance, flexible coating in a range of colours. The walls are lined internally with 12.5mm foil-backed plasterboard or 9.5mm plywood to give you a quality finish with good soundproofing qualities.

Strong and secure windows and doors

With an Advent lodge, all windows and doors are PVCu double glazed units using wide spacers and low-emissivity glass for improved insulation, complete with handles and multi-point locking systems which allows all opening windows to be locked in the vented position. Doors have an integral letterbox. Furthermore, if you choose a timber red wood exterior, window frames will be a complementary light oak finish with white on the insides, and fittings are chrome or stainless steel effect. Other colours are available.

Interior warmth and privacy

For your comfort and privacy, interior walls are constructed with frameworks of 56x30mm timbers lined both sides with 9.5mm plasterboard or plywood. Partitions around bedrooms and bathrooms are thoroughly insulated between studs for the best soundproofing performance.

A roof to rival any home

You will be pleased to learn that the roof system on all Advent lodges is designed and built to match the quality of walls and floor. It is based on trusses constructed from generous 70x34mm timbers with plated connections giving a high 20° pitch. This is topped by a pre-formed, aggregated, coated steel tile roof in charcoal grey*, securely fixed to pressure treated timber tile battens over high performance roofing felt. Inside, you get a robust ceiling made of foil-backed MDF mock matchboard panels lined with 200mm thick high performance insulation. Rainwater is channelled through PVCu gutters and down-pipes ready for connection to drains on site.
